@realtroyfrancis Treasure Your ‘Manic’ Periods
Many people today tend to be a little bi-polar
I’m not saying they are diagnosed as such medically, but many of us have moments when we feel very ‘up’, happy and productive
Other times are not so good
We are listless and lethargic. And right now (coming into winter in the UK) we may even find it difficult to get out of bed
That’s ok.
We all have ups and downs and we must accept these simply as a part of life
At the same time, when you are on an ‘up’ streak, drop everything and ride that wave
If you’re feeling super social then go out and speak to 10 new people
If you’re feeling creative sit down and write something, or draw something, or make a piece of music
If you’re feeling driven then don’t resist - harness it to the full
Because you don’t know when it will return again
It WILL return - that’s for sure, but why not use all that pent up energy you have now to the good?
Then, when you have less energy, take it as a sign from your body that you need to recuperate
And enjoy a period of relaxation instead
I write this just because I think we tend to demonise our ‘manic’ periods when really we should welcome them
Perhaps they are the driving force of our genius?
